This is a classic Caran d'Ache pen. This is one of their best and the price on Amazon at the moment is about half of what it is on their website. Same pen.An innovative creation for a classic Caran D Ache designer. An unique gift with a distinguished personality.This is the finest pen ever to touch my skin. The six sided top is very smart (masculine stylish). The body has a rough finish that inspires volumes of fluid writing. The Ivanhoe series has a most unusual round chainmail body, which feels pleasant in the hand. It is meticulously well made and finished to very high standard. This pen has a bit of heft to it (42g), very shiny hexagonal facets, good sprung clip and a very smooth black ink refill. The push button has a smooth action: no click.Like all Caran d'Ache high end pens, you have to see and hold them to appreciate just how ergonomic and eye-catching they really are. Expensive and Swiss made, yes, but it comes with a lifetime warranty and it will last. I bought this one to match the fountain pen and rollerball, of the same series. Highly recommended.I bought this for less than half price as a Warehouse Deal and it’s perhaps the best item I’ve bought on Amazon. It’s up there with my Montblanc and various Watermans and Diplomats. Writes beautifully, and looks exquisite. Highly recommended.Can it give it more than 5 stars? This is a most wonderful product of exquisite quality. I had to change the nib to smaller size and their customer service was fantastic. When I write, it feels like my hand is gliding over the paper even with a super fine nib!
