Faber Castell-PITT Artist Pen Set. Made with high quality pigments Faber-Castell PITT Pens have without acid archival India ink. They are odorless permanent lightfast and smudge proof/waterproof when dry. Unlike traditional markers they will not bleed through paper. Use on canvas fabric wood and ceramics. The brush nib can be refreshed by simply taking it out and turning it around. This 6x6x4 inch package contains sixty PITT artist pens in assorted colors. Archival quality. Conforms to ASTM D4236. Imported. The shafts and caps of Faber-Castell markers and fibre-tip pens are made of polypropylene (PP) to protect them from drying out quickly. Their ink will last for years. I love Pitt pens and am glad that this set is fresh and beautiful, with no duds in the box. "Perfect combination of paint and pen". Thank you for the super fast delivery.I am a huge marker consumer. I buy a new set at least every other week. Not sure why I waited so long on these but Fabre-Castell are probably my very favorite. Great color selections, the brush nib is darn near the best there is and the color names are so strange they kind of invite you to discover their story, which is fascinating as they are one of the oldest companies still in existence. Foundation 1761!!!I did alot of research before buying these, most markers are not lightfast archival, when you spend 20hrs drawing and coloring something you want it to last foreverThese pens have beautiful colors and have made my art look more proffesionalI suggest getting the 60 pen set then you dont have to worry if you got all the pastels or something like that, 60 pens is all the colors they offer in pitt artist pens besides like 6 metallic colors offered seperate,Heres what I bought for my art, all are archival(60 pitt artist pens, albrecht durer water color markers, copic sp fineliners, and coliro metallics paint , arches water color paper hot pressed)I had wanted to upgrade my pen set so I purchased a 60 brush pen set that was being sold at a good price. Colors blend well and range from light pastels to the deepest reds, blues, brown and black. Their white is a bit pale and transparent so I have had to switch to a guache acrylic for those moments in composing an image. The pens are about 4 dollars a unit so 150 dollars for 60 is a decent price. I would caution buyers to take the time to immediately open and check each pen for flow of color as there is a risk of dry pens being among the set. The first time I got 12 dry pens! I sent the set back and got an immediate replacement (thank you Amazon) which was fully functional and have used them since. I would jot the numbers of the pens as they start to dry and look to replace them online from art supply dealers that may have a better price. This way you always have your set of pens refreshed. After dipping my toe in the water by trying my daughter’s 48 piece set, I had to buy this set of 60 for myself, as an early, errr, Halloween present, yeah. Just finished the swatches and here are the colors:Ivory (103), Light Yellow Glaze (104), Cadmium Yellow (107), Dark Cadmium yellow (108), Pale Pink (114), Apricot (116), Beige Red (132), Dark Chrome Yellow (109), Orange Glaze (113), Scarlet Red (118), Pale Geranium Lake (121), Coral (131), Deep Red (223), Deep Scarlet Red (219), Pink Carmine (127), Pink Madder Lake (129), Middle Purple Pink (125), Magenta (133), Lilac (239), Crimson (134), Purple Violet (136), Light Indigo (220), Sky Blue (146), Phthalo Blue (110), Ultramarine (120), Dark Indigo (157), Indanthrene Blue (247), Cobalt Blue (143), Ice Blue (148), Light Cobalt Turquoise (154), Cobalt Turquoise (153), Cobalt Green (156), Phthalo Green (161), Light Phthalo Green (161), Permanent Olive Green (167), Dark Phthalo Green (264), Leaf Green (112), Light Green (171), May Green (170), Earth Green (172), Chromium Green Opaque (174), Green Gold (268), Raw Umber (180), Terra-cotta (186), Sanguine (188), Cinnamon (189), India Red (192), Caput Mortuum (169), Dark Sepia (175), Nougat (178), Walnut Brown (177), Warm Grey (270), Warm Grey III (272), Warm Grey IV (273), Warm Grey V (274), Cold Grey I (230), Cold Grey III (232), Cold Grey IV (233), Cold Grey VI (235), Black (199).My daughter got these mostly for fancy lettering, but I bought them for sketching and coloring mixed media art. They are so smooth and flowy, the art practically creates itself (ok, I exaggerate slightly). Great pens and I’m happy to hear they’re pretty long lasting! Lightfast and permanent India ink with beautiful brush strokes.Would have liked more skin tones though. *I have read about nearly every artist set of pens, watercolor brush sets, colored pencils of all types and purchased many brands. With the arrival of these India ink brush tipped pens today, I am finally satisfied that I have found the pinnacle of coloring sets! The brush fiber tip is perfect for me as it is short, comes to a pin point, and with a light hand I am able to color in the smallest of places in adult coloring books. The tip is firm, which I prefer, yet with some flexibility. Ink flow is perfect - not too much but still covers the page nicely. The body of the pen is good for my hand, like a fat coloring pencil, although shorter, so my hand doesn't cramp when coloring (for hours!). Each pen holds a lot of ink! I can't imagine running out anytime within the next several years. I am also thrilled that this box has 9 different shades of green - the one color I need the most variety with the Johanna Basford series of coloring books. I have read that the pens do not bleed through decent paper. They have not with the postcard stock on which I am using them. The storage box is well made with the ability to tier up each level of the pen holders. Yes, these pens are pricey but with all I have spent trying to find something that is perfect for me I could easily have purchased this pen set at least twice more. I think the secret when looking on Amazon is to input "Artist set" into the search box. I am through with searching any more as I have reached nirvana with this purchase. My girlfriend bought me this set for Christmas but I’ve been using these pens for years and I love them.I use them both by themselves for intricate small pieces or mostly as a complimentary source for my multimedia work alongside my promarkers and copics and my coloured pencils.Very well made, last a long time and are all replaceable which is a huge bonus and the colours are striking and vibrant not to mention most colours are colourfast, some very. Also the brush nibs are just great, so nice to use. Even, smooth flow and because of the fine brush they give varied results on the paper and with a bit of practice you will be surprised what they are capable of.To sum up these pens are excellent on all fronts and the presentation box is ace and even has pull out draws.Well worth the money. An outstanding box selection of Faber-Castell felt tips - top quality colours, excellent pens, well presented. I tend to buy one of these every year for myself and one as a gift, and am never disappointed. Its expensive, but the felt tips are artist quality - you can use them for proper illustration, not just kids scrawlings - and they last for a very long time indeed. If you're looking to buy these, go for the 40 or 60 pen sets for a massive selection of writing tools you'll never get tired of.If this sounds like an unduly uncritical review, I guess thats because its hard to find any negatives to say about these pens. They really are quite outstanding, even at what is quite an expensive price point.As. Professional artist I have always rated these pens highly. Treated myself to a £110 boxful for my 85th birthday, but found some of the paler shades to be rather dry, and not flowing as well as the other colours. The Prince of felt pens, these pens are superb. The colours are subtle yet rich in depth of colour. They are a pleasure to use. The fibre tips are fine and so can be used for delicate art work. I bought one box and my husband bought another as a present for me, because I was so pleased with these pens.Definitely an excellent buy and well worth every penny. Range of colours great and inks apply nicely. If only my artwork could them justice. I would love to say that their sheerness was great but sheerness was a word I had to look up and which ever way I look at it l can't think of how I can apply this to ink pens.
